Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised in the Queens area. However, she moved to Dix Hills Long Island before the close of her senior year in high school. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother and Evan. From the age of nine up to 16, she started being involved in the business of entertainment through modelling. Her acting career began with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying the techniques of Sanford Meisner along with Ron Stetson for three years. Other actors to receive such education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, and many others. The first role she acted in was in Beverly Hills 90210. This required her moving out to Los Angeles. The role was as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she performed almost all her stunts herself, and established herself as a skilled actress. With the help of her agent, who is the representative of Matt LeBlanc she scored a role as a guest star on Friends.
