She was born in California, Santa Monica on the 26th November of 1986. She is the child of Vincenzo Barba her father, as well as Valerie Barba. When she was six, she and her family moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey. Her education was completed at Red Bank Catholic High School, New Jersey. Later, she attended Catholic University, where she graduated with a degree in architecture. Her first violin lessons began when she was four years old, and was known as Violin Girl. Based on her performances her performance, she received this name. She was a violin teacher for children from the neighborhood.
